Standard Operating Procedure for Pest Control

1) Purpose

3) Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this SOP are divided among various roles:

3.1 Facilities Manager:

Responsible for implementing and overseeing the pest control program.

3.2 Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer:

Responsible for conducting pest inspections and monitoring activities.

Responsible for reporting any signs of pest activity to Facilities Manager or EHS Officer.

4) Procedure

4.1 Pest Prevention:

4.1.2 Maintain cleanliness and sanitation practices to eliminate pest attractants.
4.1.3 Train personnel on pest prevention and awareness.

4.2 Pest Detection:

4.2.1 Conduct regular inspections of the facility for signs of pest activity (e.g., droppings, nests).
4.2.2 Use monitoring devices such as traps and baits to detect pests.
4.2.3 Document findings of pest inspections and monitoring activities.

4.3 Pest Elimination:

4.3.1 Take immediate action to eliminate pests identified during inspections.
4.3.2 Use approved pest control methods and treatments.
4.3.3 Document pest elimination activities and outcomes.
