Cross-Contamination Prevention Procedure

Purpose

This SOP applies to all personnel involved in handling, storing, and processing pharmaceutical products within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Procedure

  1. Segregation of Products:
    • Separate different products based on their characteristics, such as potency, allergenicity, and hazard level.
    • Use dedicated storage areas, shelves, or containers for each product to prevent mixing and cross-contact.
    • Implement color-coding or labeling systems to easily identify and distinguish between different products.
  2. Cleaning and Sanitization:
    • Establish regular cleaning schedules for equipment, surfaces, and work areas to remove potential contaminants.
    • Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to effectively sanitize equipment and surfaces.
